This version of the Huffy Extent 24 comes in a deep Midnight Purple. It is built on a steel hardtail frame with a suspension fork up front, a combination that soaks up rough roads and trail bumps while staying tough enough for everyday knocks. The size guide is ages 8 to 11, or a rider height of about 127 to 145 cm.
The Shimano twist shifter and rear derailleur give 18 gears, enough range to spin up climbs and keep pace on the flat. Wide 2.4-inch knobby tyres add grip and stability on loose surfaces.
A front disc brake and rear V-brake give confident control. The padded saddle uses an alloy quick-release clamp, so getting the height right takes moments. From local paths to the walk to school, it is ready to go.
Every Huffy bike leaves the box at least 85% built. The last few assembly steps need only basic tools, and the manual and instructions are included. Gears, brakes and tyres may need a little adjustment before the first ride and as part of normal upkeep. If you would rather not do it yourself, a local bike mechanic can finish the job.
